About Us

Tim and Nants Foley have been married for over 20 years, and it has been their dream always to create Quicksilver Farm.

Tim grew up in an agricultural family with holdings in row crops, citrus and grapes in the Coachella Valley of southern California. He has been an educator all his professional life, beginning as a speech pathologist and progressing through the classroom to management to the San Benito County Superintendent of Schools, where he had oversight of a multimillion dollar budget, developed private/public partnerships and created a stellar management team.

Nants was a San Francisco Bay Area city girl, and received her M.Arch and MBA in marketing. Moving to this rural community, she became a real estate broker, a grant writer, a teacher and a syndicated columnist.

Both Tim and Nants have been members of the Farm Bureau of San Benito County since moving to the county. In addition, they are former 4H volunteers and board member, director of the 33rd Agricultural District, and board members of the SBC Chamber of Commerce, YMCA and various other non-profit and civic organizations.

Tim has been the President of the United States Lipizzan Registry. Both are members of the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy.

They maintain rare breeds, raise heirloom Blenheim apricots, and use their five acres for intensive production dedicated to sustainable and responsible agriculture.

Come visit Tim and Nants Foley at Quicksilver Farm for an agricultural adventure you'll never forget.
